Motorialab takes part and wins the Dolomiti Superski’s Innovation Camp in Val Gardena

Access directly to the slopes, no queueing, pay your skipass, all through a mobile device that provides also access to additional personalized services. This is the winning idea of ​​Motorialab, presented in collaboration with five other companies in the competition “Vertical Innovation Camp”, organized from 14 to 16 December in Val Gardena by Dolomiti Superski together with the company WhatAVenture and Idm South Tyrol.

For three days with 25 other companies and start-ups, research organizations from South Tyrol and all over Europe we were invited to develop new ideas for Dolomiti Superski after being selected from more than 100 requests. Dolomiti Superski is one of the largest and most innovative ski areas in the world – more than 10 million skiers visit sold, 630,000 persons transported per hour and 3,000 employees – is looking for an innovative solution that will allow them to increase the attractiveness of the ski area, monitor the needs of skiers and that is economically sustainable. With these basic input, we have developed a project ideas in groups then evaluated by a jury of specialists.

The first prize, which integrates the ability to develop concretely the idea, if it is awarded to the team “Super Dolomiti”, the project presented by Motorialab in collaboration with five other companies. Riccardo De Filippi tells “Together, we have presented a smartphone application that will allow to buy and “load” your ski pass directly on your mobile, thus avoiding long queues at the check-in, accessing the slopes through the use of sensors on the phone. Offering this innovative service will collect a huge amount of data and enable Dolomiti Superski to further improve their services and offer new products to improve skiers experience.”
